I chose to give this book 5 stars because it greatly refreshed my heart and spirit. Pat is very open and honest with his life, his marriage and his family. He begins by sharing a mountain top experience and then starts to tell the reader about his beginning. Raised in a conservative Christian home, he explains how he kept his morals in Hollywood for many years and then the gradual decline of his faith and family/marriage. He began doubting God and slipped further from the squeaky-clean image he portrayed for many years. He finally looks up, as in to the Lord, and yes the Lord gives him a new experience supernaturally that changes himself, his wife and family. Pat documents many miracles as a result of this, confirming his testimony. He is quick to give God the glory and admit he is still in school, learning lessons.
One reviewer stated to beware of what Pat writes but I don't agree. I, like Pat, sought the Lord at a low time in my life and although I didn't know what it was called received a similar outpouring of The Holy Spirit. Since my family and friends don't talk or believe in such a thing, I stayed quiet about it but when I did mention it received ridicule. So I quenched the Spirit, until I read this book and realized that not everyone's experience is the same but the Spirit is the same and unites us in Christ Jesus. Pat gives lots of scripture and admits to having doubts about it but faith triumphed over his fears, as it did for me recently again. I thank God I read this book and have opened my heart to God again. I will only add that at the time of my experience, I truly doubted God gave a special baptism of the Spirit so my prayer was "Lord if you truly do please make it clear to me in scripture but if not show me that too. it wasn't sure month before I experienced an unspeakable joy and peace and could no longer doubt. I hope this book and my own testimony will encourage someone to seek the Lord and find him.
Any book by Pat Boone is a treat to read. An American Institution, a man of morals, integrity and with love for The Lord. Inspirational and a joy to read.
The true story of a famous family that were baptized in the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues. Pat Boone, the father was the first, then his wife, and later each of his children received the gift of the Holy Spirit. If you are interested in receiving more power in your Christian walk please read this book.

Husband did and really liked it. I plan to read I later.I had heard them on TEN and was happy to hear more about the son/Grandson.
great book short but great read Pat and Shirley and family really blessed reading how God in the Person of the Holy Spirit worked in their lives. loved it. God bless AGAPE
